  It's been a long time since I was a teacher in Pennsylvania.  It has also been a long time since I was off for the summer.  Now I work very hard throughout the summer.  Originally I thought this would be difficult but it has become a blessing.  I get to be home in Africa and be around family for this part of the year.  Truly feeling blessed.  

 Hello my friends!  Joel Musika here just checking in and wishing you a happy halloween!  I have been thinking about happiness a lot lately.  My work at Canon has brought me a lot of happiness.  So has my time here int he united states.  I was reminded today of an old story from Kenyan culture.  I have shared it below.  An old man lived in the village. He was one of the most unfortunate people in the world. The whole village was tired of him, he was always gloomy, constantly complained and always was in a bad mood. The longer he lived, the more bile was becoming and the more poisonous were his words. People avoided him, because his misfortune became contagious. It was even unnaturally and insulting to be happy next to him. He created the feeling of unhappiness in others. But one day, when he got eighty years old, an incredible thing happened.  Oh boy has it been that long?  Joel Musika checking in from my short vacation in Tallahassee Florida.  This place kind of reminds me of home in Kenya.  The weather is very similar.  I have meet a few people from near where I lived as well which makes it even more like home.  I am looking forward to writing more this summer.  Hoping all of you are blessed today and always.   Your friend, Joel Musika

  Hi everyone.  Your friend Joel Musika here again.  I wanted to talk a little bit about a hunch today.  I have a hunch I will be heading back to Kenya at some point.  I'm not sure when, but I just have this feeling my path will lead back to there at some point.  I was able to weigh my options quite extensively and am excited to think of being home for good.  For now I will continue making my way here in the USA.  Thanks as always for reading. Friendship is a divine relationship, which is beyond the definition of blood relations. It is the only relation that is truly priceless. We may acquire all kinds of pleasures by putting our efforts. But even then life may remain dull, without having someone to share our life with some true friends. It’s natural that human being always tends to find emotional support and social life. In spite of having everything in life, we may remain in a vacuum. It happens only when we have no such good friend to share our small and small happiness in life.
